Technical Big jee's vintage sprint car build part 1

    I used these plans as a guide and sort of tweeked it a bit to suit my needs.
    Chassis made from 100mmx50mm(4x2)"3/16 thick.I cut the sides out or rear ,bent the top and bottom to the shape I wanted then plated it in. Tack the L&R rails together when welding to keep them straight. Strip on bottom is for belly pan.
    Model a rear cross member
    I'll post some body construction tomorrow

  3. Will be a great looking car.
    Purely cosmetic but I really like those grill shells and that shape opening. Right out of the old Jungle Park Speedway....

    looks like you`re off to a great start! i have those same plans, and i considered building a car. it`s going to be a lot less effort for me to just follow along with your build. :cool:
