I bought a 1940 willys sedan ex drag car. I am looking to find the vin on the frame. I was not sure if it was on a tag or was it just stamped into the frame somewhere. The cowl was completely cut out of the car and had a flat panel welded in right at the windshield. It had a serial number plate attached to it. I was wondering if anyone has pics of an original vin plate and location. I am going to change it back to stock. Any help would be great.

Not much to read on mine, but the serial # is stamped in it. Its on p***. side cowl, also on frame front cross member. You would have to replace the cowl to put it back in the stock location. Also is a pic of a repo. plate. P1040136.JPG $_27.jpg $_27.jpg
