The Relix CC will be hosting the Relix Riot again this year Friday August 19 & Saturday August 20. At the Gilmore Car Museum. Please go to relixriot.com for more information and to pre-register. We are going to have a feature car area this year and have been able to secure some from awesome cars already and will be getting more, this info will be posted soon. Thanks to everyone who has supported the Relix and the Relix Riot in the past and we look forward to seeing new people.
The 1936 Ford Roadster powered by a Lincoln V-12 that was an AMBR contender at the GNRS will be one of our feature cars this year, more to come.
make sure you check out relixriot.com to get all the registration and show info and our new feature car page.
One month until the Relix Riot at the Gilmore Museum, you can preregister at relixriot.com. Unfortunately the 1936 Ford AMBR contender will not be attending as it has been invited to The Quail at Pebble Beach.
Pin Up Girl contest and Fashion Show times have been added to relixriot.com, so check it out so you don't miss an awesome part of our show.
Hope everyone is ok after the storm that blew thru the area. I'd planned on going, had the truck and trailer both loaded with parts for the swap, but after seeing the weather report decided to stay put at home and get some garage time in.
Definitely could tell the weather affected the attendance. Still a great show, thou. Dad and I bailed around 1:30. Made it as far as Steak and Shake, in Comstock. Shortly after ordering, the Manager stood up and told everyone not to worry about the food or bills. You have two choices; leave immediately and find somewhere safe, or join the staff in the freezer! Twister's a comin'! About that time we heard the Tornado sirens going off, outside. Hope everyone made it home safe! And thanks to the Relix, for putting on another great show.
There number of cars was down, cuz all of the 'fraidy-cats were looking at the TV forecasts. We still had a blast!
Yes but you'd be singing a different tune if the tornadoes would have touched down a little further east.
Loved the show rain and all. I even drove through a pretty good rain storm after the show ended. Thrilling with a fenderless ride none the less. The thing that got me bummed was the fact that the entry fee seemed to be flexible depending on what kind of car you had. I don't mind paying the 20 bux....you guy's can run your show how you want, I'm just say'n.
I do have a photo thread started on this year's event. Since the cars did not have entry tags, if you know the owner and specific year on all of them and some cases, the make on the customs - any help would be appreciated.
