Its been awhile since I have posted any show coverage, wasn't sure folks were interested but this weekend I ran into another HAMBer who asked, so here it goes. as always I shot non HAMB stuff also, here is a link to all my photos http://public.fotki.com/boones/car_shows/2016-car-shows/
Wow! Some cool stuff there! The lavender model A with the Y block, really like the T coupester too, and the PU with the rocket solids. thanks for posting Boone, I always like your photo threads
Thanks for all the work ... didn't go this year but looks like there were some nice HAMB friendly cars in attendance. Nice selection.
Thanks for including pictures of my A-Bomb. I was honored to receive the award for home-built traditional hot rod. It was a fantastic show. ....
If I was smitten with one car at the show it was this one. The owner wasn't around, but left a copy of Rod & Custom laying on the seat with this car featured on the cover. The article said the color is '59 Pontiac Royal Amethyst. No disrespect to Boone's fine photography - that color just can't be captured by a photograph. Thanks Boone for the photos!
Pontiac Royal amethyst and Buick Lido Lavender are the same colour, Ditzler 50536. It is one of those colours that changes a lot based on the lighting. I was planning on painting my '39 that colour, but it is starting to show up on a lot of PNW cars, it would look great, but if it's going to be a new trend, I am having second thoughts.
Really like the interior in your car, that's the first time I have seen a pic of it. Are you going to have it at Ocean Park?
I really dig the model 40 3 window Boone started off with too. That's a wild one! Really like the rear view.
Great pictures, thanx! I am with FalconGeorge, that 3w has the old school look and I am a ****er for quad headlites done right.
