Hello everyone, my name is Noel (22) and I just joined The H.A.M.B. . Just bought my first American 50s car about 6 months ago and Im excited to build it ! I've got a 1954 chevy belair sedan, factory powersteering, power brakes, and powerglide. Im planning on just doing a complete frame swap on the car to have a v8 and suspension ready for airbags but would like to know: is there is a way to keep my factory steering wheel and steering column? Any information and tips are greatly appreciated!

Thank you Don! Hello from Miami! My parents actually have family friends up there in Indiana! I don't exactly remember where as I was about 5 or 6 when we last went up there! Happy Thanksgiving!

You could probably mount the wheel on a new column. I just ripped all that stuff out of mine and it was learning experience for sure. The steering column is attached to the steering box from the inside. I bet you could cut the outer column to expose the steering shaft, then go from there.
