Look What Followed Me Home From Chickasha

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Bib Overalls, Mar 17, 2006.

  1. Catman bought one too!

Pictures show mine in the drive a few minutes after I got home.

And the question is "Do you think I can build a HAMB grade rod out of it?"

If you sdon't think you can build it, sell it to me! I sure can.

  5. Nice score man. I got a coupe waiting for my time. I be interested to see what you do with it.

  6. Came out of a barn in Minnesota. I'm really surprised at how solid it is. Usual lower cowel rust - picked up the Howell's patch panels wile I was there for $45 - and a couple of spots across the back where the wood seat back runs.

It will be getting an Olds 215, 38 banjo rear, Model A front axle, and wide five wheels.

I'll set the chop after the ch***is is ready and the steering, pedals, and seat are fitted. I'm tall and I want to be able to fit and function. Cuz it is going to get driven.

Looks great. I just picked one up also. I will be starting it in
a month or so. Chopped, lowered, flathead merc motor.
    Good luck with it. Rob

I'm not sure I've ever seen one with gl*** in it before. That strikes me as unusual. Why chop it? I'd just mount it on a forward slant. I like the tall roof.

Nice score! Looks like it never saw outside storage. I'd build it stock height on an A ch***is.

Nice find! Since the bottom is rusty anyway, how about chanelled with no chop?

  16. Actually, the subrails are solid. I'm a west coast guy. So it will ride on the rails and not over them.

The gl*** was a surprise. I had more of it when I pulled out of Chickasha. It was already cracked and the bouncing seems to have shaked some of it loose. Laying on I-40 somewhere I guess. Fortunately, the original rear view mirror survived the trip. It is a cool item.

As for the chop, the lid is going to come down a bit. The header over the windshield is going to be thinned down in the process as I am not planning on running a visor.

Satin black paint, pie-crust, whitewall slicks on chrome-reverse wheels and a great little 283 with a chromed, dropped and drilled, suicide mounted front axle but Please! PLEASE.....DON'T PUT A CHOPPED DEUCE SHELL ON A T...
A nice T shell looks just right, IMHO.
I can hear the lumpy cam now...
I'm holding out for one too...been collecting parts for it already...a pair of American LaFrance headlights in primo condition. That should be enough for now. Check out these headlights!
