Don't have a clue about the wheel/tire combo but it was a killer car and for sale I was told. I'd sure like to have it.

Very good coverage, thanks. We were there from the west coast for the 25th anniversary in our newly finished 48 woodie and hope to be there for the 50th in the same Woodie. Only 3 more years I think.

I have a tudor and love artillery wheels. Nice touch to use the stock hubcaps.

Those artillery wheels, they look like 36 Chevy wheels. How did that fad get started???

That Vermont car ran from Vermont to Deuce Days in Victoria. 3600 miles one way and won the long distance award. Stopped at Nats on the way home.

Most people call them artillery wheels, but I believe they are just aftermarket 16
inch wheels for people who wanted to change out there 17/18 inch wheels.

Tires look like 5.50 and 7.50 Firestones.

Aftermarket back in the day? or Cocker? I see a lot of them on cars but not what they ran on originally that would fit the early ford. tudor.jpg

The artillery style wheels that were were used on the Mullins red cap trailers built between 1936-1938 are a aftermarket wheel. HRP

  17. Great pictures Skip. It looks like you parked in an area we didn't make it to in the 2 days we were there. It would have been good to see you again.

I was in the front row way over by Kentucky Kingdom (across from the St Louis Street Rod Assn tent). I've been parking over with the St Louis guys for a few years, now.

Saturdays, my car's in MoPar Country. Me and Dennis O'Brien are the only two guys to have attended 'em all in the same vehicle.

No under-a-tent pictures and no eighties daily drivers either. Well, I think I shot one car under a tent but there weren't any contrasting shadows to ruin the picture.

Wow some amazing cars at that show, nice photos. Damn I need to get out to America to some of the shows

  30. Thanx for the pix, Rodster. Looks like there were quite a few HAMB-friendly cars there. Maybe there's hope for the NSRA after all. ;)
