Looks Great! How Much chop? Can you measure the windshield height? Thanks!

  4. Thanks for all the nice comments Marty. I have exactly 9 1/2 inches of glass from rubber to rubber along the centre post. Not sure how that compares to the stock height as the car was chopped before I bought it. I would like to have the un-chopped number as i believe the initial chop to be about 5 inches?

  5. This ('48?) was apparently shot in the early days of the Calgary Alberta drags. Great example of the sort of "cruiser" on the streets in "everytown USA (Canada?)".

Did you notice the white wall winter grips? Coolness!

Do you want to comment on the work you did on the suspension set-up to get the perfect stance. I applaud your choice of wheel color. I rally against the seemingly obligatory use of red wheels. Although, for your car, red wheels would have been a good choice. I am glad you used restraint and chose a color that makes your Ford stand out from the crowd!

Reverse eye springs, front and rear, 4 inch shackles, front and rear, dropped axle, modified panhard bars. The gold rims match the interior trim ( speedo face, horn button). Next is dual exhaust. It's so quiet with it's stock exhaust, I have to look at the oil pressure gauge to make sure it's still running...

  25. That IS a nice Merc El Scotto! He really pulled that bumper in! Those big headlight rings (Cordoba?) seem to work on that front end as well!

  26. Been doing some work on the back end of mine. Still deciding what grille and headlight combo to go with.

  27. Glad to see the big old hideous taillights are gone. These look much better. Now to change the steering IMG_3155 copy.jpg wheel....

Is it the stock taillights you object to, or the big old hideous taillight stands? Dixie Delux has had the stands removed, leaving only the taillights:
