Anyone have a diagram of which blocks go where ? Ordered new blocks and there's no instructions or pics, just a box of blocks. Thanks in advance, much appreciated. It's a 31 coupe, getting ready to bolt it down.[IMG]

  2. i used no wood blocks on my `30 coupe on `32 frame rails ,not sure if you even could with that setup. i fabricated new mounts in steel and used frame webbing. on the front mount by the firewall i welded a bracket on the inside of the frame rail to locate it. i have 5 body mounts on each side

I thought they are for a stock model A frame. Will they work on a '32 frame?

Thanks for the replies. It's a Brookville 32 pinched for Model A. I asked Brookville, they use original blocks. According to them, the rear block has to be shortened. Spoke to Henry at Steadfast, he says use them. 36-3window, I followed your build, great job. Did you chop it ? Anyway, not trying to start a ******* contest, there are many ways to build these, I'm sure from the looks of it, it worked out your way. I know you didn't use a Steadfast kit either, you just got more skills than me ![emoji41]

if nobody has it, I will try to find my book. It's an old Rick's Model A handbook.

Different blocks fit different body styles.

Thanks, there's one in Macs catalog, but not very helpful. One in Brattons a little better. If you can find it, great. I'm sure I'll figure it out after playing with them a while. That didn't sound right[emoji15]

Thanks Rich, should be able to do it from that. Shows different models and years too, that's great. Much appreciated.

  11. i guess whatever works for you will be fine. as you said , there are many ways of doing it. with the `32 frame being a lot wider than an A frame and the holes in all different places i just couldn't see how the stock wood blocks would have worked for me.

i'm glad i did it my way by making steel mounts. i did it while the doors were aligned on the body. ended up using no shims between the body/frame
