Hey Historians. A club buddy gifted this IMC '63 Mustang. I understand Lindberg has their own take on it. Styrene is almost translucent but it's all there. The chrome tree is excellent. The decals and box didn't fair as well in the damp garage.
MY entries this week are my revell 29 model a roadster and my custom handmade 27 model t roadster. The 29 roadster sits on 32 rail's has a Buick nailhead equipped with tri carbs and backed by a 9"ford rear end. The 27 roadster sits on revell model a rails equipped with a tuned 4 banger backed by a quick change banjo axle. The body is made from model a interior panels and Perspex plastic and the screen is made from aluminium painted wood dowel. The wishbones are stock revell model a wishbones and the steering wheel is a 39 banjo.
Hay its Sunday! so lets see some more models. 2cnewey like your rods, and kit that's a rare model, Here is a couple more on the salt. This was just fun to do. Ron...
Ron, you're going to have a tough time explaining all that salt all over the kitchen table........................
John if its not a real car, that makes it a model of one. And I just like those woodies. rc57 the wife ask what I was doing. I said it is for Sunday models. She said ,WHAT ???? So if I'm in trouble, I will do some more. ha.ha.
Thanks Bob, nice models. That roadster is sweeeeet! Lets keep the Sunday models coming. I for one love the older repost. So here is another Bonneville{ bump,} for Sunday Models.
Cool models, everyone. Started a '34 for a community build on a forum. Cad powered, dual quads, it will have whitewall tires, smooth wheel covers and a '32 grille shell and louvered hood.
I'm prone to venture across 65rh Street from time to time. This harkens back to cruising Main back in 1979. I really need to make a good photo backdrop one of these days.
Been mocking this up, trying to dial in the wheels/tires to use, and figure out colors. Think it's going to be sky blue with Tamiya Mica Blue on the roof, tail panel, and wheels (painted to look like it has spider caps and spider rings, maybe trim rings too). I saw a real one on the Speedhunters site with those basic colors and that kinda made up my mind, even though the real one had flames, pinstripes, and Supremes. Not sure what I'll do with the interior yet. Engine is going to be the 235 six out of the 60 Chevy pickup, assuming I can get some motor mounts built for it.
Thanks Ron. The roadster is one of my favorites. The body is salvage. Done originally in'85. Love the Bonneville backdrop by the way.
Thanks Bob, We had a great Sunday, I'll be watching for the post on all these great builds. One last Bonneville Post, from me.
