Yes it was fantastic! Every one was very friendly. Great experience in every way. I was surprised to find out that the salt is wet. If you slip up you can get stuck. I managed to keep my ride on top and not in the salt flats. A surprise to me was the FM broadcast of the event by two on track commentators. Mile by mile reports of the cars speed as they go down the track. Danny Thompson went down the track so quickly it was hard to believe. The main track is 8 miles long. The pit area is 4 miles long with 3 rows. It was great. And did I mention hot. It was great. I took a couple of pics, dont know how to load a pic on here but you might like some of them. Thanks! I have some videos to post up also. I dont know how yet but will try to do it this afternoon. It was really fun going there. I learned a lot and next time I will be better prepared. I brought my mobility scooter and it didnt work out well. The distances that you have to travel were way beyond its range. Need a gas powered machine to do the job . I cant walk well anymore. There was a feller with a mini bike with a sidecar. and it had sun shade. never could get a pic of it. I will build something similar. Him and his buddy cruised around no prob. The pit are is vast and no spectator cars/trucks allowed. You can walk or use a little machine. No atvs. The pits are 4 miles long and 3 rows wide. It was great

First, the weather was the best it has been for a number of years, in the mid 90's, we almost wore long pants in the morning. A 'normal' weather patter would be in the 100's with humidity.
And for those that might wonder about the green construction vests being worn in this pic

All approved photographers have to wear one, so the starters can yell at us to stay behind the start line.
