I finally made it to my first HAMB drag event, having been a mailman the past 22 yrs with low seniority I always had to work. Got a little misplaced in my back road adventures in my banger powered A, but eventually found my way to MoKan. What racing I got to see was really cool, thank you Ryan for all the work bringing this together.

On my way back home I broke down about a mile outside Asbury on a busy road with hardly no shoulder. Called my son to bring me gas thinking that was the problem and tried to remain calm. Thank you to the first guy in the killer gold chopped fender less dodge truck who offered to take me to get gas, hope you didnt think I was being a **** for not going, but didnt want to leave my car and he was on the way already.

Second guys to stop in the cool T to help sorry didnt catch your names, but appreciate you helping . Next group of people to help I want to say thanks so much, along with the guy in the sweet blue 55 wagon . I didnt get your names except for Rick who let me use some tools, and loaned me his tow straps to get me home with after one of the guys noticed the distributor not spinning while cranking, and Porkand******. I really appreciate you following me all the way back home to the other side of Carthage with your flashers on, I would surely have been rear ended. Also thanks so much for helping push the A in the garage Pork sorry for making you late and having a cold dinner. Anytime I can help you back let me know sir. It was a nail biting white knuckle long *** tow home at 30mph with my ****py mechanical brakes, and sons first time towing with a strap.

Seen some great racing, met some super nice people ,had some beer, got the car home ,and spent some time with my son. Not a bad way to spend a day after all. Thanks again to all and God Bless.

Thanks wrenchbender, your name was brought up but all I wanted to do was get off that death trap of a road and get it home. I really should buy a full size car trailer and ironically I have a custom one for my 23 T bucket that I havent had finished for 10 yrs lol. I just ordered a new laminated timing gear and gaskets and watched my dvd on how to do it, so should be running in a couple weeks. Thanks again everyone for the help and the offer for help.

  11. It was actually a fun trip and I never knew that Carthage had such a cool waterfall.

Dinner was not actually cold it was still warm and to be honest most of the time I don't eat Menudo hot anyway. Talk too much.

Anyway it was fun I wouldn't have missed it for the world. ;)
