If you need any help PM me I have a program on my computer that you input your sub specs into and it gives you complete dimensions and a diagram of what the box will look like.
Speed week and back last weekend was a success. I replaced all the oil lines with nice braided stainless steel lines. Also wired a electric fuel pump to a toggle switch, works great when it thinks it wants to vapor lock I just hit the switch and it clears right out, also works great when the cars been sitting for awhile and the fuel drains out of the line. Got some great pics while I was out at speed week too. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I have a 50 4 door. flattie died so I put a 351w and a c-6 in it. Should have gone with a AOD. Also got a rearend out of a 2001 Explorer with disc brakes and limited slip. Bought a disc brake kit out of Calif so I have discs all around, had to change to a newer and bigger master cylinder. Now it stops, too. Still looks stock. Hope this helps.
I am working on a 50 sled for a friend, but I know very little about them. Is there a " rolled pan" between the lower tail end of the rear fenders under the rear bumper?
Love seeing another non chopped Merc running black wall tires [emoji1360] Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Referencing the headers, go with the Ceramic coating. Easy to clean, got 3 set's all on SBC's, love 'em!!!
Does anybody sell the valance? I heard some people don't put them on because you can't see it anyways behind the bumper? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Search for "stone deflector" I'm currently searching for one for my 41 Ford and I've found that's the most commonly used term for it.
I have talked to Matt and he told me he had one, a little dented. He also was the one that said he doesn't use them you can't see it anyways. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Matt is right about not running them cuz you do not see them. It is down to personal choice. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I went with Sanderson ceramic coated headers, love them. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Can anybody tell me what color this is? getting ready to do my interior and I need to paint a couple interior pieces. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
there is a thread here. 07 is trojan grey. (the picture kind of looks green though) 1949-1951 Mercury Experts - Cowl Plate Decodes and General Facts
I looked at the code to but it's not Trojan gray. Looks to be factory color too, I read that thread a few times. It's kinda a brown grey color. Thanks though. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
That was my guess too, had them mix up some and it was a lot lighter then the picture. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
that site has a lot of other stuff. clicking around I found this page http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/chipdisplay.cgi?year=1950&manuf=Ford&smodel=Fleet&info=yes&page=9 dig into those 2 browns listed as interior colors
Take the glove box door off and clean it up real good, then bring to a good paint supply store and have them scan and mix up a batch.
Getting the Interrior done! My buddy Brandon Herzberg, Interior Revolution, is knocking it out of the park on this one. Can't wait to see the finished product next week. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Been in full chopper mode lately, But here are some pics a friend took of the Merc out at Bonneville for speed week. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Cool photos X2. The interior pictures of the diamond stitching looks awesome. Hadn't seen those before even though they're from summer 2017. The chopper and Merc photos are cool. I'd be interested in seeing what the hitch setup on your Merc looks like.
I really like the look of your Merc, I hope someday mine looks as good. Do you know what your visor brand is, and was it orginaly for a 50 Mercury?
A Merc pulling a vintage trailer with a cool bike is one of the things I would also love to have. So far I have only accomplished to get a Merc.... and I had to sell my 52 BSA A10 for it. Really cool pics. BTW, is this a vintage hitch on your merc or did you build it? How is it mounted?
I’ll snap some pics once it warms up a bit and I uncover the car. I built it, mounts off the bumper and frame. I built it so I could remove it but I just leave it on all the time. Put well over 1000 miles on the hitch mostly hauling choppers and it’s been great. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
