Im mocking up my doors for my 29 tudor and installing the inside door handle and remote rod and they have a little round spring in the kit, i would think to help return the handle when pulled, but i cant figure out how it goes. anyone know about this spring or have a picture of it?
    Thanks

Most cars of the era have a bent spring inside the remote. All it does is acts like a detent

but it is usually not a coiled shape

    shaped more like this below:

The coiled spring sounds like the one in the latch body

I would like to see info on that subject, getting ready to work on my A coupe.

  4. The spring goes over the rod and there is a hole about in the middle where the little end goes, the long end bears against the door and tensions the rod in the released direction.
