This one is unreal, we ended up paying zero for it...... "just get it out of my yard". Best deal we ever got!!
W O W ! I always see a '40 PU on my way back to Texas from Paso. I don't remember the name of the town, but it's waaay down south.
Is that thing really a '41??? That's cool anyway. My kid plans on a flathead and stock trim, lowered a bit and some whide whites (no red rims), there is a dropped axle laying in the bed, probably 4" worth along with a set of fenders from perhaps a '33 or '34. The motor is stuck pretty good.
So, is the lady's husband still riding around town with a shotgun after comming home from work and finding out his wife gave his truck away?
That's one of the 2 trucks I'd like to own. The other is a '29 A (or any other similar year). Nice score!! Bill
...so this guy is a confirmed batchellor still living at home and his elderly Mother was willing to help push it out of there. No wife, no shotgun. He even let us borrow HIS trailer to haul it away. Geesh!!....no ***le though.
From one hotrodder to another, a very affectionate **** OFF!! Congrats on a great score dude. Those are real cool.
damn, next your gonna tell us how he is going to pay to have the motor rebuilt for ya... nice find, lucky
FREE!!!!!..................and it looks pretty complete and rust free with a bed full of parts. You should see the rusted out junk in Iowa that has been sitting in a cornfield for 40 years that the owners just will not part with unless you give them top $$$. Seriously, they would rather let the thing rot to nothing than come off their high *** asking prices. Amazing, is this your best free score ever?? If not don't tell me about anything that was better.
