WOW is all I can really say. The last 2 weeks have been a experience that I can probably never duplicate. As most of you know my wife gave birth 2 weeks ago to my son. This ,in a normal family, would be no problem or obstacle at all but with the Dirty's it slowed me down alittle, but not much. With the Roundup drawing closer and closer my deadline has really creaped up on me. Lack of sleep and helping out with the family has really started draining me financially and emotionally. With that said Lets get to the good stuff. In the last 2 weeks, *Intake and tri-power installed *Fuel lines Plumbed *Pedals finished *Floor board bracing complete *Seat frame narrowed *Gauges installed *Brakes blead, including slave cylinder *Body shimmed to level *Gas tank mounts fabbed and mounted *headlights mount made to F1 shock mounts *battery box mounted and cable ran *Wired the car, lights, tail lights, license light, generator, etc. *Fabbed a gas pedal *Made a column Drop *mounted the windshield I know I am leaving alot of little stuff out including redoing alot of stuff but that is all I can remember of the top of my head But the best thing of all happened yesterday. Heres the video to show you Big thanks go out to my Pops "Dirty2" and Little Sis" for all the wrenching the last 2 weeks. I just aint got his mechanic skills. We have thrashed really hard the last 2 weeks on this roadster. If the rain would have stopped for atleast a minute I would have took off down the road. It is officially alive and moves front and back on its own. ROUNDUP BOUND FOR SURE!!!!!!!
Thanks Hami and Sutton, Heres some pics. Been away from the computer for 2 weeks and lost my camera usb cord so downloading has been impossible for me. Heres some of the pics \ A thrash pic what a mess "Dirty Midget on Break" On the roadster seat pad
Awesome! Sounds like a hot rod! I'm gonna have to hire me one of them midgets...that's got to be your secret, huh? Congratulations on both of your newborns!
Awesome!! I'm feeling good for ya.....on both addtions to the family! That grin on the video says it all.
I'm calling the Pope to nominate your wife for Sainthood. Letting you spend the time and $$$ to get this car done in the 2 weeks after the baby should qualify as her first miracle!
Loved the "Flames" and you the fact you didn't let off the starter!!! See ya at the Roundup. Congrats on both newborns. Skot
Yeah that is rite, The miracle is gonna be that I have a wife and family after the Roundup. She has been really patient with me on this one. Thanks God, because I could not handle stress from both ways, Anyhow Thanks everyone for the kind words. I am glad we shot the video. The rain would not let up enough to take a pass down the block, Got a few carb adjusting to do and then I think it will be ready to get out on the highway. My goal is to drive it atleast 20-30 miles a day till the Roundup. To make sure she is road worthy before the 200 mile trip down.
hahaha! I'm at work and I tried to watch the video. Our company blocks certain websites for being objectionable.. Your video was blocked (acording to the automatic web filter) for "SEX" That must be one hell of a video!!! Congrats on all the hard work! Remember that family too! You're a lucky guy to have the one you have! -Elrod
NICE going dirtys! lookin' forward to seeing her firsthand at the roundup. that steering wheel looks awfully familiar too.
Perfect man, it has been quiet around here, with your head under the dash, and all. Car looks great, and sounds even better. Your not gonna stuff baffles in this one either, are ya? Damn, wish you'd have called me back yesterday, I was ready to come down for a visit, and get the dang template back to ya. Keep it up - see you in Austin, if not sooner.
Thanks everyone! Bigken ,sorry I was real busy wrenchin yesterday to get back with you dont worry about the template, we will meet up some time
Gotta love them old rat rod lookin rides. Love the tall shifter to. Get one of ya smokin the hides off it next. HG
I was just about to say that, Thanks everyone for the compliments. It has been a blast putting this together. I drove it down the block last night and came back grinning from ear to ear.
