    Greetings Folks,
I have recently purchases a Micro Precision bubble wheel balancer Mod M60. Would any of you folks happen to have an owner / operators manual for this balancer? The balancer is in good shape and I am hoping to save some money on balancing in the future. Would be thankful for any help on this.
    Have fun,

HAVE onea those ibbuckshot -- like 40 years now -- likely the manual too, but I'd haveta really dig fer that ;)

not much TO these balancers, real accurate if treated right --

ONLY thing better is Hunter spin balance ON the car -- got onea *them* TOO :) [ seldom use it tho -- only time it's NEEDED is if a drum or rotor is out of balance

    what would you liketa know?

I am trying to find out how I can balance my Crager SS mags for my 32 pickup. I tried to put them on the balancer but they would not fit properly. I may have to find some kind of adaptor plate. I thought there may be some information in an owners manual showing how I would be able to use the Micro Precision balancer on my mags. I would pay you for a copy of your manual if you could find it. Thanks for your response.

There IS - was an adapter plate necessary to do that -- sorry, I only have the one for old VW and 8 lug wheels -- I'll look fer the manual -- you *could* try callin US Tire Equipment here in El Cajon Ca. 619- 588-1225 *they* have a bunch of OLD stuff --

    luck

    GOOD onya

I know this thread is old but am hoping you might be able to help since you are familiar with this balancer. I have one that was my dad's that I wish to sell. I tipped the top to see if I needed to add oil and when I settled it back in place the bubble was huge. I've seen on threads that it needs more oil but can't figure out how to add it. Or is that even the issue? Any ideas? Thank you!

not shure what you mean "tipped the top"?

the top [ with the bubble ] lifts straight up off the base which has the oil resovouir for dampening the movement -- the bubble ***y unscrews [ counterclockwise ] to remove the centering cone for cleaning and relubrication - hope this helps -- if the bubble is HUGE it's casing may have a crack?

I have two of them, both have broken bubbles. Anyone know where to get replacements?

One shop I worked in had a couple of them, the top pulls straight up and off, we'd fill it with ATF. I'd like to find one of those myself, they were great balancers.

The top does lift off, but I didn't remove all the way, hence the 'tip'. I was able to separate the actual center portion with bubble from the cone, but if there is a crack it is no evident. Am I to understand that there is no means to open the bubble housing? I'm ***uming there's clear machine oil in there, but totally new to this.

Hi, in looking at ways to fix this online there was a post from someone who replaced it with a replacemenet for a carpenter's level from the hardware store and epoxied it in. You can get circular bullseyes levels from Amazon, and I also found a site that has a whole range of types. Some are way too large or small, but it looked like there were a couple that were the same size as mine, if I need to go that route. (https://www.leveldevelopments.com/products/circular-levels/). Good luck!

Thanks, I found a number of them on Amazon that would work. Now how accurate does it need to be?

*I* was taught, as a newby, to put the wheel on the balancer, use 4 weights, 2approximate on the back to distribute the weight equally, and "fine tune" it w the 2 on the top after -- have NEVER had a shimmy or bounce unless the drum or rotor was problematic -- in which case I have a Hunter, on the car spin balancer -- [ try to FIND onea them these days ;) ]
