I found it in a barn today. any info on these star cars will be greatly appreciated. it is complete with original 4 banger and is a true roadster. thanks
Try this link to Durant Cars---- http://www.durantcars.com/catalogs/star/index.shtml RARE car at any rate, production ceased for Star in 1928. What shape is it in? and where are the pictures? You can't ask that question without pics!!! Nice find--Don't think I could rod it,probably worth a bunch to a collector--then buy something to hotrod.Nice score if you get it.
They were built in Elizabeth, New Jersey 1922-28 to compete with the Model T Ford.......Ford won. One of the Stars claim to fame was the frist production line produced station wagon. If you can buy it right I'd flip it and put the money in something more traditional.
Thanks for the help guys, I haven't put the pics on a site yet, when I get them going I'll add pics. It is a complete, running car, however it has had some metal patchwork and some dumbass put some curtain looking flower material on the seats and dash, but a neat car it is, I won't be buying it only selling it for the old man, but he does have some cars I might buy and I'll list em' 1950 hudson commodore, drive home 1952 packard, drive home 1934 ford 4dr sedan bonnie and clyde car 1929 ford model t roadster 195? internationl truck And this star car, i've been hired to sell them all, but first i need to air up some tires, find a sunny day, clean them all up and shoot some good shots of em' I may buy the hudson for sure, they are all in a barn and have been there for years. cool old guy and cool old cars. I figure the star is worth something, just don't know what. Thanks!
Get in touch with Frank<enjenjo@earthlink.net> or <enjinjo@earthlin.net> He's building a Star roadster. OR <engenjo@earthlink.net> It's one of those. Butch 27
Does anyone know how to tell the difference in the coupster and roadster. ?? The top is homemade on this star car, but all appearances it is a roadster. I will have pics up shortly.

THanks!
Hard to tell but the windshield looks more like a closed car. Most roadsters have seperate stantions. And a 29 Ford would be a model A not a T. The star is fairly rare but there are still some around. With the gobbed up paint, top and interior it is hard to say what other atrocities were committed when it got "restored"
There's a local one that I see at the car shows around here. Beautiful car! My computer took a dump so I can't send you any pics.
I will be spending the entire weekend pushing all of these out and cleaning them up and taking pics and vin no.'s and info like that down on them. We will know then for sure what kind of car that is, the serial is ledgeable, I just didn't think to right it down. Thanks for the help!
