  1. How long is the tube? I got a similar fan I was wondering about.

When using those long ones= (fans), check for cracking on the mounting surface, bolt holes, and especially the pulley. Those suckers will go through a radiator in a heartbeat, especially with a high revver.

  4. Yea I might just put an electric one on. Seems they are still in that holy grail 32 category.

Why not find a fan that fits and build a steel spacer with some thickness, not stamped steel?

    Better looking than electric.

  7. I'm gonna put one on the front and one on the back for a push pull to keep it real cool. Just looking for 6v electric fans....

  8. Hit up are little old town orcutt model a club swap meet and spent 110 dollars. Looks as if I found a 500 dollar 32 trunk handle. At least that's what bill at early ford store wants for one. I bought all the handles for 15 bucks. Some cooler hub caps and other goodies. I'm a hoarder now. I'm not no 32 expert but the handle sure will fit the car even if it's not 32... image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

  11. It's has a really short rod on the bottom. I might have to add some square stalk to make it longer to reach the latch, I'm not sure untill I look. I can't remember if the rumble seat is longer or shorter than a regular trunk or if they are the same. As far as BINGO I guess I win again... I'm gonna have to go to Vegas.

  12. image.jpg Here you go Wyatt. Bates rear seat. Sorry guys for the off topic picture. I'm at a stand still with the machine shop now machining won't be done till end of the month so that's like 12 days to build it break it in and work the bugs out before trog. If they can even make it that soon, they are working on some old v8-60 sprint motors for a guy and a blow 4 banger plus a 1930 stutts straight 8 that is insane engineering for 1930s. So it's riding time on the ol scooter.... Dale was right on the motor costing 3 times the money and take twice as long to build.

  13. Oh yea also met a guy today that had this little neat adjustable fan on generator. This came off his 34 must have been done long ago. Also had a set of original early edelbrock block letter heads.:):):):):D:D:D:D:D image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

  15. image.jpg image.jpg So I'm pretty much a hardass when it comes to electrical and making sure that everything on a car I build works. Also anything that has a key/lock cylinders. So I very carefully peeled the skin off the truck handle so I can get the lock cylinder out. There is a little pin in that tiny hole that guys try and drill out. Most end up jacking them up. More to come later folks

  16. Bruce, you have my attention on the trunk handle and it's repair as I have one that I have been working on getting it apart with no luck. Hell I might just have to bring it with me and have you look at it. You made a great score for the 15 bucks my friend. You are the KING of finds for sure......

  17. Here you go Dennis. Now I will take it to my key guy tomorrow and from the numbers stamped on it he can make me a key. He also is a hotrodder with lots of 20s-30s fords. So he knows what's up. I will have to take you over there when you get here. He has one car that might just tickle your pickle. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

  18. After I get the key I will just carefully tap and pinch it all back together. And leave the pin that was installed in 1932. No drilling and no one will ever know. Unless your on the hamb.;)

  19. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Well got the pass. Door cracks welded up and as I was flipping it around I heard some metal inside the door. Found this, kind of weird that a foot rest was in there but hey I will take all and any gifts this car wants me to have JACK!!!!!

  20. Found some more booty... Old screwdriver nut bullet and looks like a cowl vent handle not sure but looks like one. Now I am wondering what's in the drivers door. Both doors are packed with newspaper. Fire as I weld. image.jpg

Bruce, it'd be a shame to use electric on such an awesome period car! on my roadster I don't even run a fan! but all I'm running is a stocker 221 deal and no hood.

Here is the fan I've got... As I'd said before, it is 4.25" from the face of the fan, to the face of the generator pulley. If it looks like it will work for you, shoot me a pm with an offer. I'll be down in California (Bakersfeild) for the hot rod reunion coming in October. So if you could make due with the fan you have until then, there's gotta be a couple of hamb'rs going to chrr this year that could get that fan to you to save shipping costs... Anyway, enough blabber from me!

P.S. I had a good close look for cracks on it, and can't see anything visual.

  27. Hey flashback, I guess it's hard to tell my sense of humor over the internet. I like to be funny, and I would never put an electric fan on this car. I just like make everyone think what the hell is this guy doing. This car is in good hands and I will keep her 100% era correct. 6v and all. Right now only the windshield and metal dash panel is aftermarket. I will change those as I find them original.

Sounds like we think along the same lines! If this fan is of any use, let me know. Either way though, keep up the great work! I know you're making your grandfather very proud! It would be an honor to meet both of you!
