I got the front end started, mostly because the parts were taking up room in my already increasingly small shop. That was my excuse to take a break from renovations to work on the car anyway haha. Now that the fenders are on I'm finally getting an idea for how big this car really is, it's m***ive! I haven't measured yet, but just eyeballing it, I'm pretty sure it's longer than my daily driver C10. 14389707_10210272718165577_1595512170_n.jpg 14383284_10210272718565587_98303028_n.jpg 14397413_10210272718205578_1136230006_n.jpg 14372012_10210272718405583_168495696_n.jpg
Figured I'd throw this on too, my score while taking renovation trash to the dump, a booth seat. My new beer table for the garage! 14389924_10210272718645589_1736439970_n.jpg

Found some minor damage now that I can look at the car a little better. Nothing major though. 14371807_10210272738886095_1271089927_n.jpg 14365293_10210272739126101_2026817896_n.jpg 14388839_10210272739166102_1328118266_n.jpg 14408950_10210272739086100_29931155_n.jpg

I found this while I was unpacking parts. Grill piece? 14355857_10210272738726091_680798268_n.jpg 14365416_10210272738846094_1871944226_n.jpg
Also, if anyone can answer my above question about whether a 55 Chevy Wagon windshield will fit my 56 Poncho it'd really help me out, thanks!

55,56 2 door hardtop,4 door hardtop,Nomad and convertible use the same windshield.
55,56 2 door sedan,4 door sedan, and wagons use the same windshield.(one you need)
57 2 door hardtop,4 door hardtop,Nomad and convertible use the same windshield.
57 2 door sedan,4 door sedan, and wagons use the same windshield.
57's will not fit any 55 or 56, because of the cowl differences.

That chrome piece looks like the center piece from the accessory front bumper guard.

If the windshield is from a Bel Air wagon it's different. Nomad uses a hardtop windshield. There's close to 2" difference.

So I have to find out if it was actually from a Bel Air Wagon or a Nomad, thanks for the info!

I think you're right, I just looked at the bumper guards, it fits. Is this a hard thing thing to find by any chance?

Kind of rare, especially if it isn't all hammered up from playing bumper tag. I hunted for a long time for one for my sedan delivery, never ever found a nice one within my price range - I'm a cheapskate. Your car looks like a really good starting point for a nice cruiser.

Glad you are making progress!!!!!! I know the front end has been off mine since the end of May and I have kinda forgotten outside of pictures what she looks like as a complete car! So when looking and measuring it seems they are only a few inches shorter than a Large Suburban!
