I loaded Jean up in her car yesterday morning (9-17-16) and away we went up the road to Monitor Wa to the 2016 edition of the East West Flathead reliability run. It rained like a cow peeing on a flat rock going over Blewett p*** and I'd imagine on both Snoqualmie and Stevens as the mountains got some rain this The sun came out in full force by the time we got to Cashmere (where the Aplets and Cotlets come from) and it was full sunshine in Monitor for the show. Numbers were down a lot for what ever and all reasons but several of the cars there were real interesting and had some interesting pieces. Starting with the car belonging to one of our own who made the 550+ mile trip down from way up in BC [/ They don't hand out many awards at this event as it isn't intended to draw trophy hunters. But this one is well deserved and earned.
Every time I see this car the color grows on me more yet. Lots of chatting going on at this one. You had to hear this one run and I didn't get a video but oh what a sweet sounding flathead.
Project car across the street with some scary work done on it. It had some interesting pieces and a reasonably decent body but oh boy there was a lot that has to be changed. [/ A couple of the non flathead cars in the cheap seat section That's it, there are a few more photos in my album that you can get to by clicking on any of the photos or by hitting this link to the album http://s173.photobucket.com/user/mr48chev/library/2016%20EAST%20WEST%20FLATHEAD%20RELIABILITY%20RUN?sort=2&page=1
Every time I see this car the color grows on me more yet. I agree. Could someone please tell me what color this car is? PLEASE?
I would really really really appreciate it if someone knew the color for sure. I want to paint my hot rod the same color.
Thank you for the photo coverage. I spent most of the event at the check in table to get an accurate count.18 for the east and 10 for the west. The long distance trophy I made was well earned.
Looks like a great time! Wish I could have went...POURING rain Saturday morning and the forcast didn't show signs of letting up, my group decided to stay home. A few cars did not have tops!
