Hot Rods I went to 3wlarry's funeral

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Mr. Mac, Sep 19, 2016.

  1. That was just awesome! So sad that Larry is gone. I'm sure he had a lot more living to do, but that wasn't His plan.

    It has been an emotional day for me as one year ago today my good friend Teddy lost his long battle with cancer.

    I cheer myself up by thinking that my friend Teddy, as well as Larry are suffering no more pain and they are in a better place.

    Rest in peace..........E

    I have friends that are not car guys that would say that is about the most redneck thing to do but if your a car guy or gal you get it. I never met Larry but damn he must have been a hell of a guy.

    Death is a terrible event....something that we all have to confront on our own time. I have watched this video a half dozen times today and each time I found it uplifting.

    That's what wakes are supposed to do and most of them do.

    Thank you Larry and your sweet wife. You just made lemonade out of lemons.

    My hat's off to both of you.

    Somebody had this for a tag line & I think Larry would have liked it;
    Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broad side in a cloud of smoke & dust, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming " WOW WHAT A RIDE "

    That is great, and very fitting for a hot rodder like Larry. In 2008 My Dad and I got to spread my brothers ashes in the black line at Bonneville. It's great to see other people who "get it".
