  1. Has anyone found a good way to work a rumble seat step on a fender less model A?
    thanks Karl

I made a nice forged bracket from a forged steel front fender bracket ('31 A?) that I reshaped and bolted to the Deuce rail, in front of the tire. To the top welded on eye, I bolted a '31 'A' rumble seat step from the rear fender. It's aluminum, finned. (circular) One 3/8" carriage bolt in the center. (polished stainless)
Not 'tacky' at all, you have to look to see it...One foot on the pad, then the next on the tire.
NOT easy for a fat old man...but he's the driver. The rumble is for his kids and grandkids.

  5. Hi Mike, Do you have a photo so I could see it?
    Thanks Karl

Hi, Carl... No, I'm sorry but I don't. When I moved the shop in 1994, I 'lost' a number of boxes, (mostly flathead ignition goodies, and one of all my pictures)
Bad news, as I lost all the 8" X 10" black and white glossies sent to Blackie Gegian by participants for invitation (only) for his show! A gift that was priceless!

The bracket, as I mentioned, was the front fender bracket (forged steel, 3 bolt triangular flange)
The flange bolted onto the '32 rail, just above the back part of the reveal. Bracket was shaped like a 'J', with a 'bung' welded onto the end of the bracket neck, the side of the 'bung'. Bracket neck length about7", with 4" radius to the bend. The hole in the bung is vertical, and the step just bolts on top.
