I just purchased the remains of the Marchant Speed and Machine BB/GS Willys truck and am looking to trace its history. It was first built in 1960 by **** Marchant and campaigned thru the 60's mainly at Fremont/Vaca Valley Raceway and also making appearances at the Winternationals in Bakersfield. It spent all of its life on the west coast until the last 5 years. It was also raced by Bethel's Goat Farm for some time. Not sure what years. I am missing a couple owners. Looking for photos, video and any helpful information. The original blown chebvy 301 is rumored to still exist somewhere. Any help is appreciated.
The truck has been taken apart and I am collecting parts to put it back together.

You are off to a good start. I hope that you find some more history on it.

I have not been following this post, but come across some info. From the World G***er Championships mailing list, I had a previous owner of the Goat Farm Willys P/U as Bill Bab**** from Oakdale, CA. (Info from around 1994) I just found this card and hope it helps.
