See where a gentlemen in the Pittsburgh area has an older Olds with a gl*** panel in the hood. Looks nice with curves, not just a square window. Anyone ever done this?

    Thanks

Attached (hopefully) are photos of a 1950 Oldsmobile radical custom I helped on. A 1950 Oldsmobile dealer showroom hood was used. It was strictly a set on hood and had no provisions for hinges or latches. A major portion of the plexigl*** hood was cut out and grafted to the original hood as an insert.
Got lots of looks and great comments. Sorry, I am only able to upload one photo

There were several '39 & '40 Pontiac show cars made with complete bodies of clear plastic.

I haven't done it.. But, my father made several clear plastic hood inserts for Buick division of GM. Back in the sixties. These were for show cars and dealers. The company he worked for made most of Buicks cut/away displays. Seat and body details, cut away engines and transmissions etc.

I tried to make a plexigl*** hood for my 34 pickup back in high school. I put it in the "better in theory than in practice" category
