Well it has been a while since I have had an update. I am learning alot about metal work. I am self taught and that means I am slow and have to do things a few times, but its fun and it hasn't really cost me anything, but time, mig wire, gas and grinding discs. The truck was a regular cab 30-31 model A I cut the top and extended it 7 inches. The top cut edge was finished in 1.5 inch exhaust. I got this idea from Clark's RPU. I loved that truck. I got some odd perforated steel from a scap yard that was the right size for the grill and added a Star from a pontiac on it for good measure. I also included some shots of the the 46 Ford dash I cut down for the truck. It turned out pretty cool I think. I am getting close to done with the metal work and hopefully will have it on the road in the next few months. Want to drive it for a year before paint. Well thats it for now. Should have more updates soon.
Killer truck man. Love what your doin. What are you using for a dash? cause i love it. Neat shifter too. Keep it up. Pat
Yep they are 32 lowers and 30-31 Uppers. With a 30-31 Frame. I built the 46 dash up a bit on top of the cowl so that the windsheild seals. I have a pic I will post later that shows it.
Man that thing is looking good. I'm building an A coupe and my son wants to build a pick-up(we've spotted one) when I show him your pics he's going to flip out. I really like the dash!
