A beautiful lady, regardless of her age. Her fame was as a recording artist, she made many albums (all in her native France). As far as films, I think she was only in 2 or 3 movies, one of them being "Grand Prix". Other than that one movie, I never saw or heard of her again, but she has a face that is not easy to forget...

After scoring runner-up honors at the Winternationals, Ken Dondero reached the winner’s circle again at that year’s Bakersfield March Meet, where he was joined by Linda Vaughn and Bob Panella Sr.





Bernnie Osborn began racing in the late 1950s with a homebuilt Modified roadster that was later lengthened to accommodate two blown small-block Chevy engines to become very competitive in the Top Gas ranks.





Early in his career, Pink fielded his own Top Fuel dragsters, piloted by other drivers, until he decided to devote all of his efforts to his rapidly growing engine-building business.

After relocating from San Antonio, Texas, to Southern California, Jim Nicoll quickly worked his way up through the ranks with such rides as this twin-engine injected gas dragster.



Drag racing pioneer built this gas dragster for Jerry Baltes using pipe from the swing set of Baltes' daughter.





Jerry Baltes raced this flathead-powered ’32 Ford coupe at the first NHRA U.S. Nationals in Great Bend, Kansas in 1955.






COLSON After having worked on Don Garlits’ crew in 1958, Ron Colson campaigned his first Top Gas dragster with a Garlits-built chassis in 1965. It was later named The Stiletto.






During the final days of Top Gas eliminator, Frakes and Funk had one of the category's most potent cars with their twin-Chrysler.




Former National Dragster Editor Bill Holland presented the trophy to Dale Funk after a Top Gas victory at the National Dragster Open.





Gary Burgin began his career driving supercharged cars, and one of his earlier rides was this A/GS roadster seen at Orange County Int’l Raceway.





HughTucker Like Kenny Safford and the Stone, Woods & Cook team, Tucker relied on Oldsmobile power during the early 1960s, and won Junior and Little eliminator at the 1962 and 1963 Winternationals.





Tucker later switched to a Hemi engine, which powered him to a Super Eliminator title at the 1966 Winternationals. He's pictured at the 1966 U.S. Nationals, racing Joe Davis' Mustang.





Like many of his contemporaries, Jerry Ruth began campaigning front-engine dragsters with the early Chrysler Hemi’s in the mid-1960s.





Nicoll began driving Top Fuelers in 1962, and by the 1967 season, he had acquired one of drag racing’s first nonautomotive sponsorship with fast- food chain Der Wienerschnitzel.





Tom Prock first gained notice with this flip-top ’33 Willys Gasser that he campaigned on the match race trail.





Pure hell and Linda Car owner Rich Guasco, left, and driver Dale Emery were joined in the winner’s circle by Linda Vaughn after one of their many AA/FA victories with the Pure Hell roadster. This was the early version of the car equipped with a blown small-block Chevy.





When Emery and Guasco upgraded the Pure Hell entry with a supercharged Chrysler Hemi, the increased performances made their AA/Fuel Altered one of the most powerful in the country
