Just got home and in the mail today was my copy of the new Minnesota Dragways Do***entry. I'm not vert good with computers or i'd stick the disk in the disk drive of my computer and try to take a few screen shots as thier are a few shots of a '41 Willys like @B*** has but its black and some are black and white. I will be watchng the two hour slide show next too see if i can find anything.
Thanks for the info. Minnesota Dragways is where I fell in love with cars. I went there every weekend that it was open for years. As usual, first as a spectator and then racing my street car until it was too modified for the street and I had to tow it to the track. I remember one lead sled '49 or so mild custom Mercury that was always parked behind the tower. It was painted metalflake pink for a while and believe it or not it looked great. The reason I'm mentioning it is that several people I've talked to remember the car but no one has any photos of it. I think someone that worked in the tower owned it, anyway thanks for the info, I'm going to order the book right now.
Okay fellas, as promised i learned how to do screen shots and watched the do***entry again. here are the ones i took of any Willys I could find and a few more. Some are clearly not the one we are looking for, like the blue one with the gold leaf lettering,. I haven't taken any of the two hour slide show yet but thats next. Ufortunetly there are no names under any of the pictures so if you can identfy any of these please do. Again i think we all know who owned the blue one with the gold leaf lettering.
Lutz and Lundberg, I will add the names of the ones that I know in your quote Al Tschira I believe that this is Al Pfeiffer from Kenosha Wisconsin
