Event Coverage Hershey 2016 Roll Call

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Fedcospeed, Sep 8, 2016.

  1. It is a long tradition for it to rain some during Hershey. Does not really stop a thing. I have got some of the best deals while stomping around there in the rain. GOOD TIMES!:D

Good 70% of the stuff is in the trailer, anyone else second guessing the value of the stuff you are bringing? Pair of 28-29 Running boards with step plates may be the high dollar item in my pile. Bob

  3. Packing the truck up tomorrow. :cool:Not much stuff but it will be priced right.:) If not tell me. ;) Do not want to bring it home. C4J-36

YES, id like to keep everything and sell it at the same time. Its tough to price things.I price it by thinking what I need to get for it and adding a bit of a cushion.Tuesday-WEds hold your ground and then go from there. People are not there to just go for a walk. Leaving sometime in the AM and staying close by for the night so I can get in line early on Tuesday morning. Fedco

Got to sleep in my own bed last night. Hotel Silverado may be for the younger me.Pulled in home around midnight.I sold signs and old "stuff" but not much in the parts dept. Most of my items were 303-324 related anyway.I,ll have a much better feel for what to bring and not to next year. Now I have to put all this crap away today.Talked to a ton of people and got some real good leads of parts etc.

One thing that happened while talking to a few people was the fact they were there and didnt have a way to carry or haul the stuff they were there for?????? I wish i had a buck for all the different configurations I did see of what others were using.Didnt do much shopping, was there to fund a engine bill.Mission accomplished and cant wait for next year.

  21. Found the steady rods that I have been looking for.:D In fact I saw 4 pair in Hershey. Just installed them in the Coleman Coupe. Will give it a test ride later today! Hershey is the place to find just about anything.

So Mark did you buy the first pair that you saw (which were the dearest) then found 3 other sets cheaper than yours? That's usually the way it goes isn't it?

I was looking for bits and pieces for all my projects, and found some nice things fairly priced. Sold a few things I really wanted to get rid of, just glad to get my money back type things. I was trying to find a 38-39 Ford Pickup cab, and bought this one that came from South Dakota. I've been working on it every night since I got it, guess it is a new project without a build thread. No, why take the joy out having a project by finishing it? Hershey 2016 is finished, I'm not happy about that.

  26. Bought the first ones I saw. They were the best ones and the best price. Go figure! There was one set that another guy had told me he sold already that were a bit cheaper, but I never saw the condition of those. The highest price ones were also nice and I would have bought them if I did not find others already. When you need something and you see it you better buy it because at Hershey it will be gone if you wait.

Thanks for the pics Mark. I see the DOG and cat food sign made it in but no DOGS. Couldn't you mix a few dog pics in amongst the car parts.

What's weird is that I walked just about all of Hershey, but every time someone posts photos,it's like-hey, I didn't see that! Just too much and what catches my eyes, might miss yours. Thanks for the photos.
