hi, I am working on my 54 chevy truck. I've included photos to show I need a certain piece but can figure out what it is. The pittman arm? connects to the steering box and comes down to connect to I think the drag link. what am I missing on what I'm calling the drag link to connect to the bottom of the pittman arm?
My other truck had holes in both ends of what im calling the drag link and a cotter pin type bolt came through to connect on both ends, but this is different.
any help would greatly be appreciated.

You are missing what I call, a "ball stud"

It has a round ball to fit in that socket of your drag link. Then a tapered stud with threads and a nut, that goes into the hole on your pitman arm..

It looks as it the stud portion of the ball joint at the pitman arm end is broken off or missing. It should be sticking out of the point right where the grease zerk is located.

The knee bone..... Seriously, we would be remiss if we didn't point out that there are updates to use modern tie rod ends if you prefer. Inspect the drag link thoroughly to see if the bores are not wallered out.
