Stock 350......after getting some of the suspension out of the way the pan came down ez, appears the pan gasket was changed before and very wet below the fuel pump/timing cover area,I changed the pump/plate & gaskets so I'm hoping the pan gasket was leaking there. Nothing from above, almost swear to it!

Crack !!!! Waybe in pan ???????
Hole , where the spot weld for the windage tray ???
Just throwing in more places to look

How about this, raise the car on blocks , spair wheels ,what ever safe ,
    ( car level )
Put a piece of card board or tin down between cyclider head & fan
(So fan does not blow air back ) start up ,speed up the Rpms to about 2,000 , let run 10 - 15 mints ,and check to find leak

True........it was changed by po..but leaked a little. I took it down and a bit and cleaned the gasket up ans applied a bit of rtv around it and ****oned it up......was good for a while until I put the M/T covers on....seemed like the leak had gotten worse after that. Maybe it was pressurizing the motor??? I have 2 breathers on p*** side and PCV on the other. The stock covers had a pipe from the v/cover to the air cleaner....I'm putting everything back the same way....hopefully things will work out.

Try removing the fan and bring the rpm up with the car sitting still. then the oil should just run down and not be blown back easer to find.

A friend of mine just gave me a tip on finding oil leaks. Clean up all suspect areas and spray them with aerosol foot powder. he says the powder will turn yellow as the oil seeps out.

Most parts places have small bottles of leak detector for various fluids. Need a black light as well. I had good luck pinpointing the location of a power steering pump leak with the stuff.
