Thanks HRP; yep, it is air-bagged (yeah, I know that's not OK to some of the folks on this site, but it is what it is) with a nice 4-bar rear end...

Sometimes wagons get out of hand... My neighbor asked me - "Why would anyone put an 8-71 on a street car ??" I told him "because a 10-71 is unreasonable...."

Here's my Aunt Shirley's '55. It was like the one above green with white around the windows. It was a 235/auto and she hated it.

I have never see my self as a stw owner.
For me it always have been cool cars as long somebody else own them.
But a couple of years ago we wanted a newer car as a compliment to our Dodge 53.
We wanted a car with better gearing for long distance driving to weekend meetings.
Started to look for a mid to late 60:s car but find them a bit boring.
So we ended up with this 59 Dodge with a 361 and torqueflite pushbuttom trans.

  16. I am still amazed as to just how many HAMBers are ardent fans of station wagons, keep them coming. HRP

Thanks. Right back at ya! We've been admiring and enjoying it for 10 years now, and almost 50K miles, most of 'em towing. It's never let us down. That is our "new" '47 Spartan Manor, on it's maiden voyage to Camp Dearborn in Sept. We managed to get three outings in, and if the weather holds, may go camping next weekend again. This ones a keeper.

ALOT of Nice Long Roofs ! Never was a wagon man, But they have grown on me through the years, a 57 Buick Riviera Estate wagon trips my trigger, my current and only wagon ever, will be a classic in future, Magnum RT, much too new for the HAMB.

Thank God some of these survived. Big old family haulin' wagons! Can't even begin to fathom the sibling drama that's taken place in these.

I was amazed he still had it. Luckily the guy didn't advertise it well. Lucky for me!
