Ok so bought a 55 buick special...264 with the dynaflow. ... have been reading about how dynaflows like to mark their territory...I think my front seal is kaput. .. now do I take it out and have it looked at or run it just keep trans flow in range explore other options.... ie st/sp400 and new rear diff or ...or ... or....

When I bought mine a few years back...it was a slow leak...but one day prior to the MSRA Back to 50's here in Minnesota, it was flowing!! Prior owner had used silicone to keep it in, but it was flowing over the top of his seal. If I kept building the silicone damn, it would have put the ****** fluid into the starter which would have caused many problems. So we pulled the engine and fixed the outer seal..the front seal had been replaced and was working fine...it was the outer seal that completely dried out and leaked.
