That's good. I don't really know what you're asking for, though. Not enough information in your question

Looking for the pattern for the bracket that bolts to the 3rd member so a pan hard bar can be connected.

the tricky part is figuring out which way the gasket fits.

I learned long ago to not try to make parts that have to fit other parts that I don't have sitting in front of me.

Is there a "standard" mount? I would think that every application of a modified part could use a little different design.

As squirrel says - bolt it together, pull up a chair and look at it for a while.

BTW, a 8" and 9" will be different.

The pan hard bracket fits both 8 and 9 " I have not had good luck with gaskets and usually end up with hogged out holes . I would like a better product.

I'm not aware of any factory 8" equipped cars that had a factory panhard rod. Mine has a 5/8" bolt welded to a bracket that's bolted on with the spring U bolts. A bracket that would mount to the pumpkin is too short for my liking.

Wisdonm, google pan hard bracket 8 or 9 " ford. If I knew how to add a link I'd do it. This is not
a stock ford item it's an after market bracket that bolts to the 3rd member for the pan hard bar to bolt to. that way there is no welding on the axle housing.

There are no absolute rules on the bracket and where in the ch***is the rear end housing sits will make a difference. I would mock up the rear end under the ch***is where it needs to be and fabricate a bracket that welds to the housing and another that would attach the other end of the bar to the frame. The type of suspension matters a lot too. If you are using coil overs I would consider a Watts link to keep it centered.

aaggie, I used watts linkage on my 23 C cab work's well. This is a 30 A ccpu.
I built the frame from Paul's example here on the HAMB . I used the demission's of another HAMB member for the Vega box mount. I like to build my own stuff the reason for this bracket is I don't have room for watts linkage. I've seen two types of brackets one bolts to the 3rd member bolts at the top. The other bolts to the snout of the 3rd member. They are $ 30.00 + dollars . Thanks' for the input .

It is easy to chase white rabbit's or in this case, a squirrel. "Remember what the dormouse (squirrel) said

    I haven't a clue what your saying or inferring . ^^^^^
Does it have any thing to do with dimensions of the brackets I want to build?

Dirt, I bought a kit from Speedway that worked great. I'm using an 8" in my 32 and the kit was really reasonable. If I can find the instructions in my paperwork Monday, I think the dimensions are there, I'll post it here after.

If it's set in stone your gonna do your own, take a piece of hard paper for a template and a ball peen hammer and tap the hole locations. The 4th hole can be figured any where above that's appropriate for bar location to other side. Longer the bar better the ride. I have used the carrier bolts for the brackets and also have used the front yoke plate to get it lower if need be..............................

Do you want a pinion mounted panhard bar that sits forward or a case mounted bar that sits closer to housing. There are a few different ways to do it.

With the age of CAD drawing I thought this would be a piece of cake.

Sometimes the old fashioned draw your own template is all that's needed...

That's what hotroding is all about!

picture number 3 looks like it might actually work well. Notice there is support on both sides of the bar.

Practice your layout and machining skills on s**** metal, until you get good at it....

(I get to teach the kids on our robotics team to do this type of work, I'm familiar with the challenge)

Thanks squirrel, I'd have to agree with you. That's my last resort. On my Vega steering mount I tried three times then did it on the first try with the dimensions.

FD are you using the pinion mount? I am leaning towards that as it sits forward of the axle housing and looks to not congest the area.
