Who said that you can't turn iron into gold? Proof that they're wrong right here! I know this thing will be killer. Great work Pete.
Took advantage of the fantastic weather today. Was able to slip in to the shop for the day. First thing was to make some B-pillar feet and get them tacked into place. I hung the quarters than clamped them in place.... After hours of finagling I got them to a point I could live with. Since I had no idea where the tops of the pillars should be I called the '32 guru... Howard Towne of course......he supplied me with the correct width and I popped a few braces in to hold the pillars in place while I started trimming the roof and fitting the quarter Windows.
This entire '32 roof was actually on a '34 roadster, don't ask why because I don't know. It was trimmed to fit the '34 so it's missing little slivers of metal here and there + it's had a very hard life. I'm just tacking everything in place for now, than I'll go back and finish weld later. Pics
That is going together quickly Pete, you will have plenty of time to enjoy it before racing on the beach Sent from my SM-G900V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I'm thinking I may hang onto this one, after all I've had it for something like 8 years.... I was on and off the fence many times about building it but am pretty stoked now.
C'mon Pete, Ollie told me he was kind enough to drive you home from the motorcycle shop on a regular basis... by way of the Squires Club of course!
Haha.... Very true John. As John stated.... When I was 15-16 years old I worked at a motorcycle shop in Everette mass, i lived in Brookline... Roughly 25 ish miles away. I drove my BMX bike both ways.... Thru the city, highways and thru the ghetto. My boss would ask if I wanted a ride home, I would throw my bike in the bed of pick up.,.. Fucker would go to a the local strip club for hours while I waited in the truck! Literally 4 hours!!!
Very true John.... I remember ollie pulling into his driveway and being like .. Goodnight! After all that waiting I still had to ride my bike home and to boot it was like 2am... He was such a dick.
Nice work Pete. You really must of looked younger if you couldn't get in the squires club at 15. Well maybe you were just too shy!! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Pete; Really looks good. I love projects like this. I just don't think I have it in me anymore. But I am glad you still do. BTY, I gave you the roof pieces a few years ago. Keep up the good work. Steve
