Mine, it's on Robinson St. One of them up hill jobs that runs from river road to N Salisbury. One of the older west side neighborhoods.
As a former piece keeper... What's your thoughts on me hooking a chain around it a dragging it home in the A.M. ? Lol

Yeah I tried to keep up with my stalking ya while you were out there. Glad you made it back safe. I still can't believe you met the original builder of "HyperSonic"
You might like to know that before I took the body off the frame, I mock cut down the windshield frame some to see if I'm getting the mean "pillbox" look yet. Nope you were right that I needed to go down to 4.5". I only took 3.5 out of the frame right now even though the top is down more. I have to work my way down after its all tacked together. With me leaning the A pillars I won't know what size the window will be to I'm further along.
The look of the front view takes a touch more precedence with me than the possibility of a pancaked side view. Of course I'll try my damnedest to balance both but I want to push the aggressive Tudor chop envelope as much as possible.

Rick I like to park something like this in a garage like that later in life when I've aged gracefully, it's so low key and cl***y.

Do you recognize this car from the area? It's at the 18th st. Y in the summer sometimes. I haven't met the person who is fortunate enough to call it theirs.
I cropped the pic cause I didn't feel I had the right to show the license plate # entirely.

Hey there, 383deuce, I see you made it home safely. Wasn't the TROG a real kick in the pants ? I really hope the powers that be see fit to allow another one in '17. Great meeting all you rodders and talking ****. We are over halfway home, just cruising along enjoying the sights. Take it easy, and maybe see you next year. Gary

I have seen it a few times going up south street hill, then east on Main. Don't think I have met the guy before though.

My wife had a pic on her phone from when I was pretending with the windshield frame. Her brother who doesn't visit much had asked her on Facebook if I had made any progress. She told me she said to him "nope still blocking my spot in the garage!". I ***umed my from her tone that one of these faces followed her statement... [emoji35]
This pic shows how the top is not down in to evil town. Yet

Well here in Indiana it gets pretty damn cold. But I say we spend most of the winter between -6 and -23 Centigrade. In Indiana terms that's like 20 -10 degrees. It's 50f out right now. I think this has been our coldest day yet this fall. It's droppin pretty good at night.

You know a guy might be able to plumb in a recirculating block heater and run the soup all winter with an insulated lid of some sort.

Great minds think alike! A waterbed heater would be huge heat. You could put caustic soda in it and boil engine blocks! Lol

And I only ever get pissed off at stupid people.

Well to use a quote from the movie Cannon Ball Run... "If your gonna be a bear, be a grizzly!"
I went and cut another inch out of the B- pillars today, fairly easy when the body is laying around in pieces. This will make for a total of roughly 5.5" off. I have to call it quits there cause I'm starting to fret the wife wanting to ride in it. This would cut down drastically how much use I'd get out of the car.
Now when I go to re***emble the body I'll start the roof alignment here. I want a soft angle chop to minimize the pancake effect. I'm sure I'm getting into that problem already. As I stated in some previous posts, I am primarily concerned with the front view. Second would be the shape of the door window opening. Then I'd say head clearance becomes important. After that it's a toss up between how the rear three windows look and this pancake problem. My car's side view probably won't set the world on fire. It's more of a issue with me that it's aggressive or looks faster than it is. Hopefully the windshield frame will appear smaller with the leaned posts and with being lower than the b pillar up front.

I have a long history of letting things escalate or spiral out of control when having too much time to day dream. May old chrome parts list immediately comes to mind. Well I've been sick for a week and not much work getting done. Now other than watching most of my body panels take a long slow bath, I've been wondering again.
I can't stop thinking about my roof chop and window proportions. Studying others cars like crazy. I took another inch out of my windshield frame. This is a backwards way to go about things. The frame is still less cut down then the roof. You can't take the same amount out of the frame when you lay back the a pillars. I plan to give the top a slight angle which would be in the direction of allowing the same amount out. I went about mostly locking in this set windshield size based on, "this is too big, this is too small". Now I will let the frame size partially dictate the balance between lean back and down angle.
Now I'm contemplating the rear window opening size. I like its size now from a standpoint of that its almost usable. It needs to be smaller for a sinister look though that's for sure.
But the reason I'm writing this post is I'm considering a copper roof insert that ties with the cooper grill shutters. Between shipping it around a few times and the louver punching it could quickly become the most expensive part of the whole car. Copper prices are a shocker! But I'd like a old piece that has started to dull up a bit. I will make this ****** removable if I go for it.
On a high note I got a cool old black Guide L-19 license plate light coming.
