Hot Rods 1954 Dodge Truck VIN Number location

I'm trying to buy a 1954 Dodge Pilot house pick-up. I have a Arkansas ***le but the VIN plate is missing from the fire wall. The person that I buying the from has died this year and the wife knows nothing about the truck. Is there a VIN number some where that I could check to match the ***le number.

Check the front door post on the front doors for another plate.
Can be stamped in frame right above front axle when you look in from diverts side front tire.
