Been a loooong time since I've dropped in here. Hope y'all are doing well. Just a quick update on the wife's roadster.

And if anyone knows someone looking, the black car has been sorted out and is available for adoption.

I think Fred meant '50s Traditional. This is a thread for unugly '60s style T Buckets. Plenty had coilovers.

Because I like them, but I couldn't own one. Too restrictive. I can't see myself wondering if it's okay to do a modification to my car, with fear of offending the purist. Artistic freedom, man. That's what I like.

Well, yea, but traditional period. Maybe if I had lived back then and knew what it was REALLY like, I could embrace it. But trying to build a car using the views and opinions of what a lot of people have only read or heard? No, can't fully embrace it.

The cars I enjoy looking at, are the one's that look well thought out and built. It doesn't matter what the builders motivation was, I enjoy seeing the execution.

Had the day off and after running errands, I mounted the master cylinder. There's a feeling of achievement with mounting the first of many pieces that will complete the chassis.

Fred and anybody following this thread if you want some inspiration check out these two very simple kool buckets. If you want to connect with a great Facebook thread check out HOT RODS OF THE 1960s. Marcus will stretch it to include some 50s rods but don't try to post RRs, Kustoms, or newer shit.

Sadly, not as soon as I'd like. My projection on a roller has moved to late December, possibly around New Years. So, making lemons into lemonade, I'll either have a very Merry Christmas or very Happy New Year.;)

I work best with Bob Seger but to each his own. Great music in Graffiti that I grew up to. Where were you in '62. I was graduating High School.
All that is besides the the point. I love what you are doing.
    Keep up the good work.

I didn't have anything to do today, so I spent it surveying what I have so far. Put some thought into stuff like brake line routing, etc. I adjusted the rear radius rods to set pinion angle. Next purchase will be the rear shocks. It may not seem like much to some folks, but having the chassis basically complete and in paint sure feels good. I REALLY appreciate the "thumbs ups" and advise you guys have given so far. Hard to believe a whole year has almost gone by.

So, I'm gonna grab a few brews and pat myself on the back. I think I deserve it...... them.:)

  16. The summer of '62 was the one just before my senior year of high school. It's when I began building my first Hot Rod. I'm now building my second one! (Late getting back to the party.) :)

Yea, but it sure felt like it. I never intended to do a build thread and still don't. But I do enjoy posting what I'm doing. It let's me get opinions and advice. But this is Chip's thread and a nice sanctuary for T Bucket builds on the HAMB. So, I like to see what everyone else is doing and keep the creative juices flowing.
