We first set eyes on this car 20+ Years ago. Back then we were able to talk to the guy that owned it all these years. Originally done back in the late 40's/early 50's with an original Carson Top, and pretty heavy chop, he took it apart in the 60's sometime and left it sit on blocks since. Of course back then he wouldn't sell it. He was going to leave it to his son in law.

After a few years p***ed, we had heard that the old man had p***ed away and we tried to contact the son in law. He didn't care to sell the car either. So after a couple more years p***ed, we decided to write a letter saying should they ever decide to sell, we would like to own it.

Two weeks ago, the Granddaughter calls us.....she found our letter. The Son in law (her Father) Recently p***ed away and they were ready to sell the car. Well we finally struck a deal and brought the car home last night.

The car is in amazing shape, and we have pretty much all the parts for it. We're gonna try and get it running and driving, but other than that will stay preserved as is.

  9. That's a cool *** original car. I'm very happy to see you are just gonna get it on the road and keep it as it is. That's a real time piece. Good luck and let's us all see the motor. Hopefully it still has a flatty in her.

    Very Nice indeed :)
Any sign of a manufacturer tag on the inside of the Carson Style top?
Finding one would be ultra cool..........
    have fun with it.

No tag. The old guy did tell us that it was done by Carson Top Shop though.
