New member, I Need Title for 54 Ford F100 in Texas or Oklahoma

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by FullMontie, Mar 23, 2006.

  1. Hello All,
I'm a new member, located in Richmond, Texas (SW of Houston), currently have a couple of projects, 80 Vette at my house, and 65 Corvair Monza in a barn at my dads(and my highschool 65 Corsa Turbo rusting down outside of the barn), and looking for a 40-50s pickup project. My dad has a 1954 F100 Pickup that is in really good condition, but he has no title for it. The truck has the original Y Block, no rust on the cab, but it needs a bed. It is in Oklahoma at his place, I am in Texas. Anyone know of a good way to get a title?
    Thanks,
    Montiefor this truck?

Is your dad the original owner? If he is he, can file for lost title in OK, or whatever state he had it registered in.

  3. Hello,
No he's not the original owner, has bill of sale only.

  4. Any ideas guys? There has to be some good way of doing this......

If you have a bill of sale you can shoot a copy of it and send it to the DMV, they will issue you a title. Call down there and talk to them at the DMV. That's your first step. You may have to have a state trooper ID the VIN number.

Lots of threads about titles here and on the Jockey Journal. You might try the "search" for titles.
