Hot Rods Jerry 's 32 5 Window Project

I've done a few build threads on here over the years and am getting ready to start another project so I thought I'd do another.

I bought a decent 32 5 window body and frame. Pretty solid start. Some patch panels tacked in nicely thatcneed finishing. A good driver door .. Bad passenger door that will need some love


Plans are early Caddilac, chopped, low, old chrome suspension, full hood. Louvered top insert.....It's going to be mean. I'll post updates as I bash away.

The passenger door was pretty hogged up I found a decent passenger bottom half and made a top out of pieces from a driver door. Lots of splicing and dicing but I made it work. Garnish molding fits nicely inside. Lots of work only to cut it again when I chop it but everything must fit nice before it gets the knife

 

Looking forward to this.

My good friend Andy Kohler was in my neck of the woods today and he delivered a beautifully dropped 32 heavy axle that he did and also a nice pair of 32 spring perches


Andy's dropped axles are fantastic. He builds great cars too at his shop. We usually catch up and throw some sand every year at the Race of Gentlemen

 

Also scored a nice 46 Lincoln wheel that I'll be mating to an F-100 column

 

Going with aluminum seat and some custom tags that I etched

Got a nice care package in the mail from Mike Wagner @ cornfield customs. I decided on tearing into the chassis first and will be using his boxing plates, motor mounts, and u-bend front and rear flat crossmembers to get it low and mean. These are beautifully cut pieces which will weld beautifully. Thanks Mike! Progress pics soon
