Technical What Radiator to use for 1935 international

    I'm building a 35 international and wanna try to Use the original hole for radiator fill on top the grill shell. Has anyone tried to do the same if so what radiator did you use.

    Depends on the engine. Any (really) old radiator with a top fill is not going to hold the pressure required in a newer cooling system. You'll probably end up with one built to your need. Many of the rad. shells seen on hot rods had dummy caps & the filler caps inside under the hood.

    You may find oldihc.org to be more helpful as all they do is Binders.

    I've look at using a repop model A radiator it's close enough to the size I need and still retains they cap out the grill top but was seeing if anyone has tried it.

    If you have the old rad you could have it recored. Model A may be too small. Wonder if you could buy an aluminum rad with a long enough filler, it would be cheaper.

    I used an aluminum chopped model A on mine. I had to use a hammer and dolly on the grill surround to make it fit. (Flatten the top stamping) I’m running an SBC for motor.
