i would like to know if any one has an idea of the distance from the front center line of axle to the center of a SBC Motor mount as seen on a on a TCI Style frame? I have built the frame from some measurements of a friends 30 Model a TCI frame with a SBFord.( I used the build from Paul a director of HAMBs frame build to cut the frame horns in on the 2x4 inch tubing and TIG it back together). i did 4 bar front and rear and a 4inch dropped tube axle ford 9 in the rear with QA1 Coilovers i would really appreciate if someone knows. Then i can get the Brake pedal and booster welded in, i am going to get a crate motor for the power and a TH350 tranny. Have been making the sheet metal up as i get an old one to go buy, so far i have the cab back, both cowl bottom pieces, the rear quarter pieces, and i am working on a A pillar piece that will be smooth( havent got it completely figured out yet. John
Mocking things up with real parts is the best way to do it. Too many variables (even on a SBC) to be using somebody else's measurements.
I thought someone had a TCI Frame i could go by i need a SBC andTH350 to do that, i might have a friend who could let me use one. Thanks guys trying to get it a little farther a long since i woke up not being able to see out of my right eye real well, makes welding kinda tuff.
;No i'm going to need a bralle one . if this eye thing gets worse. trying to get some things along farther in case it does. thanks John
