I already dropped the roof 4 1/8" ( and shortened the body 15") to get the look of a old Bantam.
I could go another 1" or so and still have decent vision and drivability.

    Should I ? ....

My opinion, for what it's worth, is leave it like it is. I would not change a thing.:D

Looks just right the way it is... if you go any lower, i dont know how you'd be able to see traffic lights and **** like that.

I say go for it, then again I chopped my 29 PU 10" and channeled it 4". Maybe I am not the best person to ask.

Gotta tell ya... i like it chopped more, but agree that drivability is an issue. I think it really comes down to your goal for the car.
If it is to shock & awe, then whack the top.
If it's daily enjoyment in traffic, leave it be.

I think it also needs a little work on the stance, it seems to level. It may just need a taller rear tire.

    My 2 cents

I never vote to chop just for choppin's sake.

Having said that, let me say this....

    Cut it!!!

  13. I like it both ways. I'm thinkin' that if you wanna drive and end up with swollen discs in your neck later instead of sooner leave it. ;)

What I'm sayin' at this point is its just a matter of personal taste. Common sense says its mor drivable as it is, but common sense is like statistics. I'd just about bet you can drive it and enjoy it with or without more chop.

Ah hell who'm I tryin' to fool. Take the extra inch out. I aint never had any common sense anyway.

That is one sweet ride either way my friend. You do jam up work.

What are those rear tires anyway? Just curious.

i'm ***uming that the "vertical" grill is current, as well as the air cleaners & exhaust on the taller version in the first pic.

leave the top alone; go with the horizontal grill bars; and the balony cut air cleaners; exhaust is a toss up. rear wheels can't be seen enough to judge.

yeah, you were only asking about the top, but you DID ask for opinions.

    that car is SICK!!!
leave it how it is, or it becomes more of a sideshow attraction than an obviously driven hard car...too much is too much, and it is 3 times the work to put an inch back in that you just took out...

then again, I like muscle cars, so pay absolutley no attention to any of the above.

It looks like you have already done the metal finish on the chop it already has. Have you driven it any in its current state?

If Yes: then you already have your answer or you would not even be considering more chop.

If No: then I would suggest you drive it like it is, or work on stuff to make it drivable like it is, then mess with the looks and stance and body work and what-not once it is drivable and you have experienced it in it's current state.

#1) Your photo chop is misleading: looks like more than an inch to me.
#2) Also, you've lowered the frame/body in the photochop pic - also misleading.
I think 1 more inch would be perfect, but if the metal work is already done I wouldn't spend the time to do it: it looks great as is (although I *would* drop the front suspension a tad).

I think it looks great the way it is, but .... if it were mine I would take another inch out and put taller tires on the back.

Looks great as it is. Dont change what your vision of the car obviously is. Things usualy get ugly when that happens. Car looks great.
