    its goin in my 54 chevy so yeah its getting covered........

    i need some cheap 1'' carb risers to make the linkage work. where should i go?

    hahhaa took you long enough yorg! now if it was a sbc they would just take my scoops but since its a rocket they'd steal the whole motor!

    i know olds had them as showroom display and a lot of the leadsleds out east did it!

    i hate the red color just bought it that way but its getting painted this weekend! just wanted to mock up the intake and carbs to see what it'll look like!

    i could make cut outs like that in my hood! but would look better without a hood!

    Make em! I made two inch aluminum risers for my coupe...and I made 'em for six dueces....not that hard really...you just have to get some 1" aluminum cut to the shape of the carb bases, mark out where the holes need to be and then take 'em in to your local machine shop and have 'em cut the holes. Trust me, you want the holes striaght, so the only drill press that you should use for cutting 'em in is one that says Bridgeport on it and looks like a milling machine :) I tried cutting mine with my drill press...not pretty. I made all six of mine for about $80. And then you have the added pleasure of being able to tell people that you made 'em yourself.

    hey cadillackid! your just the guy i wanted to talk to! ok i have the choke on one of my carbs still in, and two of the other carbs just have the linkage! do i need to make up your little solution for the idle speed screw to the 4th carb? why? shouldn't only one be open during idle and the other three sealed up tight?!:confused:

    Very nice, I have one of those manifolds too, currently an internal discussion going on withthe 4x2 vs using the Offy 3x2 with J2 Carbs and linkages (which I know would be easier and probably better) the 4x2 looks so good......
