Hello folks! I am looking for some insight on the 52 plymouth shoebox. I have a friend who lowered the front of his. He did it by taking the spring plates and mounting them below the a-arm instead of the top of the arm. Now after the lowering the factory sway bar/stabilizer bar cannot be used because of the way the ends of the sway bar mount in a rubber bushing that is caged or clamped to the a-arm. anybody ever use a different sway bar from another vehicle and modify it to this car?

    Thanks,

    John

I cut 2 coils & trimmed the rubber stops for 1/2'' travel back in the ol' days ... didn't need a sway bar.
