A member on the '57 Ford forum is looking for a complete grille for a '53 Ford. He's in Washington state.
I've had several of these over the past 43 years.Don't mess with the used ones. When you try to have them rechromed the ends will have so much rust in them that they will end up with holes.So try to find new old stock if at all possible. Lots of luck!
The problem with 'em is they were built when chrome and copper were in short supply due to the Korean War. They got 1 layer of chrome and no copper underneath. Buyers were instructed to use a special preservative available at Ford dealers. Maybe a few did, but after a few years and new owners neglect took it's toll to the point that good ones are now made of unobtainium.

I have some pc both of the prop. the bullet and possible the top 2 pc they are ruff my chrome shop would now touch them. They would work if he planed on painting them but I do not think they would chrome if you think he might be interested I will get some pictures Shipping would be more then I would want for them

there is a nos p*** side on ebay for around $500 I have thought about a couple grill surround parts in stainless also $75 its hard to find good cores for the 53
