    Falcon George,
I don't see the homage to the LCPA..........Not many customs in that race now or then.

I must be the only one that doesn't like that Shoebox. Yeah, it has some really cool fab work and parts (those wheels!) but to me, the overall look is just 'off' somehow. The radiused wheelwells really look wrong. And the yellow letters? Gross.

I agree on the stick on letters but I figured they were going for the Goodyear racing tire look. Overal, I dig it.

Yea, a bit of a "fish outa water" I'd say, because for the most part, this era of Fords has always been more popular with the "custom" side of our hobby and horsepower never seemed to be a big part of that world.
It's probably some of the components that attract me more than anything.

I was curious as well RidgeRunner. I have knock offs as well holding my rims on the roadster. I was told the correct install was lefty loosy/righty tighty on the right side and righty loosy/lefty tighty on the left side of the car. That is how mine are held on. If that is correct, the safety wire should be holding the right side knock off in the pic from spining off (tuning left) but this wire is on the wrong side of the knock off to accomplish that. Maybe they installed the knockoffs on the opposite side of the car than I was told? Maybe I installed mine ass backward?

    One sweet looking sedan.

Thanks for posting, enjoy seeing them all.

  19. In regards to the safety wire knock off dilemma, it is correct the way it is. the left handed threads ALWAYS go on the right side of the car, they can and will come loose if installed back wards. My off topic daily driver has knock off mounted Daytons on it and I drive it 400 miles a week with no issues. I remember the 3 R's for running that style wheel; Red adapter with Reverse threads goes on the Right side of the car.

  21. I think it depends if you are worried about acceleration or braking loosening the knockoff.

Love most of this... cowl steering looks a little under engineered, but I REALLY like the slanted A pillars and windscreen!!! I'd love to see a zillion more pix of this build. Gary

  23. I doubt very highly that anything coming out of Trepaniers shop is under engineered.

I'd like to see some build details myself.
Did not see this car in their gallery.

You are certainly right about his work. But it would only appear that the distance between the cowl steering box output shaft and the drag link were so great that another link was needed - to keep the steering ratios more comfortable? Or it serves some other engineering purpose to improve the steering? Perhaps Troy would tell us why? Still, it's a great looking car, hands down. Gary

    In no particular order:
Slow down steering ratio. No PS needed.
Gets correct geometry for radius rod arc(s), = no bump steer.
    Looks seriously trick.
Maybe allows higher (or different placement) mounting of steering box, = less column angle out of dash.
    Because he can?
    Marcus...
