    Hello Hambers,

Looking for some ***embly help on 34 ford 5W door gl*** install. I have original risers and aftermarket channel kit, but I am thinking that the gl*** channel I have may be the wrong one. I can't reverse engineer the way the thing is supposed to operate. I have the channels in the door correctly but the up and down / back and forth vent window operation has me scratching my head. Where does the roller on the channel engage with the riser mechanism?

Thanks ahead of time for your help!

this is out of my 34 5 window with stock orginal gl***. the front big pin is pushed forward by the wing and then the gl*** goes down. the screw that is 5 5/8 back from the pin is hit by the roller and that makes the gl*** go back to open the vent at the front.Darrell

    Darrell,
Thanks for providing this information. I'll soon be ready to install gl*** in my '34 5 window coupe and had no idea of how to adjust this "thing".

    Thanks,

You might be missing the screw type pin that the roller bumps up against to allow proper movement. This was discribed in the picture above.

    Good luck

The windows on my 34 don't roll up and down well. I need to figure out how to adjust and or fix them some time. I think it is a black art. Hopefully there are more info on how to get the roll up and down well.

    Darrell,

Thanks for the measurments. It looks like, from your description, I have my parts positioned correctly - would you agree?

I have not tried to actually put the gl*** in the door with the riser, but I will take what you have given me to double check what I have. I am not sure that I have that screw that is 5 5/8" back on my repo channel, and I am thinking that is my issue. I will keep you posted.
    Thanks!
