Good day everyone. I am going to pick up a 1935 tudor humpback body and frame only this weekend. I have built a couple axles to put under it to get it on the trailer hopefully. I was just wondering if anyone else has done similar and what else they required in terms of blocking etc in order to lift the rear frame high enough to roll as well as distance between the tires on the inside measurement. Going to be in a remote area so I want to try and be ready for surprises. Suggestions welcomed on what tools, blocking etc to take. Thanks in advance Pete
Pack a few 2x6's or 2x8's...8 feet long or longer...can by used as skids...for prying ...for make shift ramps etc. I also take a bottle of liquid dishsoap...can be used as liquid lubricant on those 2x8 skids...and to clean up once your loaded. Good luck...expect pictures of the process
You can get a lot done with a section of thick plywood, a small floor jack, and some ***orted 4x4 blocks.
Hey everyone thanks for the reply's Got the 35 home with no problem. The two axles I made worked great as well as a 4x4 spanning the arch at the rear of the frame. Some ratchet straps and big c clamps and away we went. Will post a new thread once the project has taken a start. Cheers
